HAFA II is a Fannie Mae / Freddie Mac Short Sale. What is HAFA? HAFA is pre-foreclosure / Short Sale: Obtaining lender approval to sell your home short of what you owe your lender. Short sale is done at no out of pocket cost to the homeowner - lender approves the expenses to be subtracted from the proceeds of the sale.
Update: HAFA Short Sales are not normally requiring financial information to qualify, but this does depend upon your lender. Always ask.
